You will travel on part of the Karakoram Highway, the 8th wonder of the world. , Part of it is also the old Silk Route which is on the footsteps of Marco-polo. This is one of the highest and most spectacular roads in the world. A highway that cuts through the crest of the Karakoram Range affording unrivalled views of the snow capped peaks, while linking the historic cultures of South and North and the Hunza valleys with Kashghar and Central Asia.
The Karakoram Highway is the life-artery for the Northern Areas of the country and provides the road link between China via Khunjerab Pass 4733m, opened in 1982 also with Central Asian States and mainland in the south of the country
From the Raikot bridge on the Karakuram Highway a jeep able trek forks off accompanying the Dimar Valley to the FAIRY MEADOW, is situated at the base of Nanga Parbat with the elevation of approximately 3280m from the sea level. The meadow are flowers strewn high altitude alpine pastures situated amongst pine forest, with an imposing backdrop massive North face of NANGA PARBAT, the world’s ninth highest mountain. Here is wonderful place for camping This offers easy access to an above 8000M peak base camp and one of the world’s finest mountain panoramas with several excellent short side trips and climbs. The jeep road from Raikot Bridge to Jehal is unforgettable with a dramatic gorge (that drops 200M), takes around 2hrs then 2-3 hrs walk to the Fairy Meadow 3300M. At the end of jeep road you can also arrange horse ridding to the Fairy Meadow and also to ahead. From the Fairy Meadow there are many side trips.
